Teaching Learning in the Classroom

In Collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation and Kingsbridge Research School, Cornwall Teaching School is holding a ‘Teaching Learning in the Classroom’ Conference on Monday 23rd April 2018.

Colleagues from across Cornwall are invited to attend this event which will explore practical ways of bringing evidence-based approaches to Learning to Learn into the classroom. Evidence suggests that pupils make more progress in classrooms that promote an understanding of how learning happens. Among the guest speakers will be Marc Rowland – former Director of Policy and Research for the National Education Trust – Professor Jonathan Sharples – a Senior Research Analyst with the Education Endowment Foundation – and Lorwyn Randall – Director of Kingsbridge Research School. The event will also feature expert teacher-led workshops from Jon Eaton and Freya Morrissey. The conference will take place on Monday 23rd April 2018 at Truro College from 9:30am until 4pm and places cost £95 per person or £49.50 for members.  Further information is available here.
